Administrative Assistant – Work Hard, Play Hard Lifestyle
Independent Advisory Team at WFM
We are a small independent advisory team at WFM looking to grow with just the right people. We’re hiring an Administrative Assistant who wants a flexible, work hard/play hard lifestyle. This role is about taking ownership, putting in the time when it’s needed, and enjoying real flexibility and time off in return.
Personality matters. Being able to work in a team environment is essential. We’re looking for someone who fits our culture as much as our needs. See our group here www.financialfootprint.ca You would be working for myself, Brad Blair.
Key responsibilities
The Financial Advisor Assistant will support advisor/s in preparing client meetings, compiling financial information, and updating client files and records in a timely and accurate manner. Responsibilities include assisting with investment account documentation,
processing trades and paperwork, responding to client inquiries, coordinating appointments, and communicating status updates to both advisors and clients. The Financial Advisor Assistant will also help with basic financial planning tasks, maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the advisory practice, transactions, preparing reports, and monitoring follow-ups to ensure a smooth client experience.
What “work hard, play hard” means here
- Professionalism– we care about results, not watching the clock
- Put in the time when it counts – some days are busier and require extra effort
- Extra hours = extra time off – when you go above and beyond, you earn it back
- Balance – we want you to have a life outside of work and the freedom and flexibility to enjoy it.
- Lifestyle and Flexibility – Start and finish times can be very flexible at times, as long as what is needed gets completed on time.
What we’re looking for
- Experience is preferred but will consider strong candidates that can learn at a very fast pace.
- Highly organized, reliable, and detail‑oriented
- Comfortable with busy days and shifting priorities
- Strong communicator – professional, clear, and approachable
- A positive personality who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment
· Ability to learn independently
· Ability to problem solve
· Someone who enjoys both putting in extra effort and enjoying time off
· Administrative/office experience is an asset, but attitude and work ethic matter most
- Knowledge of Financial Services and Investments, including familiarity with common investment products and industry regulations is preferred.
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact professionally with clients, advisors, and internal partners.
- Post-secondary education in finance, business, economics, or a related field preferred; relevant industry courses or certifications are an asset (e.g., Canadian Securities Course).
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with office productivity software and comfort learning new digital tools and platforms.
- Client-focused mindset, professional demeanor, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of an advisory team.
Compensation & benefits
- Compensation and salary: based on experience and to be negotiated
- Benefits package: to be discussed as part of the offer
- Extra hours = extra time off approach to support a flexible lifestyle
Why join our team
- Join an independent advisory team at WFM with strong growth plans
- Flexible, lifestyle‑friendly approach to work
- Work hard, play hard culture – intense when needed, relaxed when it’s earned
- Growth opportunities with a fun, evolving team
- A chance to help build and shape how we work as we grow
Please email:
- Your resume, and
- A cover letter that includes:
- A brief intro about you and your personality
- Why you’d be a great fit for a team‑oriented environment
- Your desired compensation / compensation expectations
