  • Identify production issues early and take appropriate action to keep projects on schedule.
  • Provide clear direction, coaching, training, and constructive feedback to shop employees.
  • Ensure machinery, tools, equipment, and work areas are properly maintained and used appropriately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and efficient shop environment.
  • Lead by example and contribute to a positive, respectful, accountable workplace culture.

  • Previous supervisory, lead-hand, foreperson, or production leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of cabinet and millwork construction methods, materials, hardware, machinery, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed shop drawings, plans, specifications, and measurements.
  • Strong understanding of quality standards and the ability to identify workmanship or production issues before they progress.
  • Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to manage changing priorities and deadlines in a custom manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency and comfort working with production information and digital drawings.

Experience with CNC equipment, edgebanders, panel saws, woodworking machinery, cabinet manufacturing software, and/or lean manufacturing principles would be considered an asset.
