  • Support annual financial audits, royalty audits, and franchisee reporting reviews.

Accounting Operations Management

  • Oversee daily accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, royalties, franchise fees, and marketing funds.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes and deliver clean, consistent financial results.
  • Ensure accurate recognition and reporting of franchise revenue streams.
  • Improve accounting systems, controls, and processes to support a scalable franchise model.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning

  • Develop and maintain rolling forecasts reflecting unit openings, closures, and key business drivers.
  • Execute variance analysis and provide insights to department leaders and franchise operations.
  • Assist operations leaders with financial planning, resource allocation, and unit-level profitability initiatives.

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

  • Manage organizational cash flow, liquidity planning, and banking activities.
  • Ensure timely collection of franchise royalties, fees, rebates, and other recurring revenue.
  • Support treasury management and working capital optimization in a multi-unit environment.

Internal Controls & Franchise Risk Management

  • Develop and maintain a strong internal control framework for franchise operations.
  • Reduce risks associated with inaccurate franchisee reporting, sales variances, and fee remittances.
  • Ensure compliance in the use of marketing funds and other designated accounts.
  • Investigate discrepancies and maintain high standards of financial integrity.

Strategic and Operational Support

  • Provide accurate financial data and insights to senior management, and operational leadership.
  • Support franchise development with unit economics analysis, financial modeling, and feasibility assessments.
  • Assist in evaluating pricing related to franchise fees, royalties, and system programs.
  • Help guide financial best practices for franchisees and internal teams.

Leadership & Franchise Support

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team to ensure accuracy and consistent execution.
  • Provide franchisees with guidance on reporting requirements and financial best practices.
  • Build team capabilities in franchise accounting and multi-unit reporting.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Systems, Tools & Process Improvement

  • Oversee ERP and POS integration efforts across corporate and franchise locations.
  • Standardize processes and automate manual tasks such as royalty calculations and reporting workflows.
  • Lead financial process improvements to increase efficiency and data visibility.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all finance systems.

Qualifications

  • 6–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably in a franchise, multi-unit, retail, or hospitality environment.
