Job Summary
We are a growing local CPA firm based in Ontario, providing accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and advisory services to small businesses and individuals across various industries. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Accountant to join our collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle client bookkeeping engagements from start to finish while meeting all filing and reporting deadlines.
  • Oversee payroll functions for small business clients
  • Experience in preparing T1 and T2 tax returns
  • Manage client engagements and track work-in-progress (WIP)
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing timely support and collecting necessary documentation and information

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of recent Canadian public practice experience
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, CaseWare, and Profile
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple engagements
  • Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
