Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) Commis comptable rigoureux(se) et fiable, ayant de l’expérience dans le secteur immobilier, pour soutenir nos opérations financières.

Résumé du poste :

Le/la Commis comptable sera responsable de la gestion des transactions financières quotidiennes et de l’exactitude des registres comptables pour plusieurs entités immobilières.

Responsabilités principales :

  • Gérer les comptes fournisseurs (A/P) et comptes clients (A/R) (hors locataires)
  • Préparer et comptabiliser les écritures de journal
  • Effectuer les conciliations bancaires mensuelles
  • Surveiller les comptes et soldes bancaires
  • Traiter les paiements hypothécaires et suivre les soldes de prêts
  • Tenir et rapprocher le grand livre
  • Participer aux fins de mois et de fin d’année
  • Préparer des rapports financiers et contribuer au processus budgétaire
  • Produire les déclarations de TPS/TVQ trimestrielles
  • Collaborer avec les comptables externes lors des audits et de la préparation des déclarations fiscales
  • Gérer les rapports de dépenses des employés et les rapprochements de cartes de crédit
  • Assurer la conformité et l’exactitude des documents comptables selon les politiques internes
  • Effectuer d’autres tâches administratives ou comptables au besoin

Exigences :

  • Minimum de 3 ans d’expérience en comptabilité ou tenue de livres au Canada (expérience en immobilier fortement souhaitée)
  • Maîtrise d’un logiciel comptable tel que Hopem, QuickBooks ou équivalent
  • Solide compréhension des principes comptables et grande attention aux détails
  • Excellente organisation et gestion du temps
  • Capacité à travailler de façon autonome et à bien communiquer

Atouts :

  • Expérience avec la gestion de multiples immeubles ou entités légales
  • Connaissance des conciliations CAM, de la comptabilité de construction ou des comptes en fidéicommis

Highmark Management, founded in 2008, is a growing real estate investment, development, and management company specializing in residential and mixed-use properties in the city of Montreal. We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Bookkeeper with real estate experience to support our financial operations.

Position Summary:

The Accounting Bookkeeper will manage daily financial transactions and ensure the accuracy of our accounting records across multiple real estate entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) (non-tenant related)
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations
  • Monitor bank accounts and balances
  • Process and track mortgage payments and loan balances
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing
  • Prepare financial reports and support budgeting efforts
  • File quarterly GST/QST reports
  • Collaborate with external accountants during audits and tax preparation
  • Handle employee expense reports and credit card reconciliations
  • Ensure all records are accurate and in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Perform other administrative or accounting tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience in Canada is a must, preferably in real estate
  • Proficient in accounting software such as Hopem, QuickBooks, or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and high attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively

Preferred:

  • Experience working with multiple properties or legal entities
  • Familiarity with CAM reconciliations, construction accounting, or trust accounts
