Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Barista / Coffee Technician to join our team at Nexus Studio. In our space, you are more than just a coffee maker, you are the face of our brand and a steward of our high-fidelity standard. You will perfectly balance technical precision in espresso extraction with sophisticated guest engagement, ensuring every cup meets our gold standard and every guest experiences a flawless ritual.

Core Responsibilities

• High-Fidelity Beverage Craft: Execute a high-volume specialty menu of espresso-based drinks, teas, and seasonal offerings with strict adherence to extraction variables, flavor profiles, and minimalist presentation standards.
• Operational Flow: Manage high-traffic periods with a disciplined workflow, ensuring rapid ticket times without sacrificing the technical quality of the product.
• Technical Stewardship: Operate and care for professional-grade equipment (including our La Marzocco Linea PB and precision grinders) with absolute respect and technical accuracy.
• Studio Reset & Maintenance: Maintain a pristine, spotless, and "theatre-ready" workspace. Uphold rigorous health, safety, and food handling protocols to preserve the studio aesthetic at all times.
• Guest Advocacy: Anticipate guest needs, provide expert-level menu guidance, and resolve any service friction with grace and a solution-oriented mindset.

Professional Qualifications & Expectations

• Proven Track Record: Minimum 1 year of experience in high-end specialty coffee or a fast-paced, premium food service environment.
• The "Owner" Mindset: A proactive approach to the studio. You don't wait for direction; you utilize downtime to clean, restock, and perfect the space because you care about your professional reputation.
• Communication Mastery: Ability to engage a diverse clientele with a warm, composed, and highly professional demeanor, especially during busy summer tourist seasons.
• Financial Integrity: High proficiency in cash management, square POS accuracy, and basic mental math skills for quick-paced transactions.
• Team Alignment: Ability to respect and operate within a structured chain of command, supporting your Studio Supervisor and Shift Leaders to maintain a frictionless environment.
