This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing regional sales, service operations, customer relationships, outside sales representatives, technicians, and overall financial performance.

While HVAC or mechanical industry experience is highly valuable and preferred, it is not an absolute requirement. We are also interested in strong leaders with experience managing sales teams, service-based businesses, operations, customer accounts, and P&L who have the ability and willingness to learn the technical aspects of the HVAC industry.

The successful candidate will be a strong people leader with a proven ability to build customer relationships, develop teams, manage operations, and drive profitable growth.

  • Develop and execute regional business strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and growth objectives.
  • Establish and maintain operational standards, processes, and performance expectations.
  • Monitor regional performance and identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Work closely with senior management to establish budgets, forecasts, business plans, and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure company policies, procedures, safety standards, and industry requirements are consistently followed.

Account Management & Customer Relationships

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic accounts.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for major customers.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and develop new business.
  • Participate in customer meetings, contract negotiations, business reviews, and strategic planning.
  • Ensure customer concerns are addressed quickly and professionally.
  • Build long-term customer partnerships that support retention and regional growth.

Outside Sales Leadership

  • Lead, manage, coach, and develop the outside sales team across BC.
  • Establish sales targets, KPIs, and performance expectations.
  • Monitor sales pipelines, quoting activity, margins, customer development, and overall sales performance.
  • Assist sales representatives with major opportunities, negotiations, and strategic accounts.
  • Develop strategies to increase market share and expand the company's customer base.
  • Ensure sales activities align with company profitability objectives.

Service & Technician Management

  • Oversee service personnel and field technicians throughout the region.
  • Ensure technicians have the resources, training, equipment, and support required to perform effectively.
  • Monitor productivity, utilization, customer satisfaction, service response times, and other key performance indicators.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, development, and retention of qualified technicians.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, professionalism, accountability, and customer service.
  • Work with service leadership to improve scheduling, dispatch, workflow, and field efficiency.

Financial & P&L Management

  • Take ownership of the region's Profit & Loss (P&L) performance.
  • Monitor revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, labour costs, and profitability.
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets and ongoing financial forecasts.
  • Review financial results and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve margins, productivity, utilization, and operating efficiency.
  • Ensure projects, service work, and sales activities are priced appropriately and remain financially viable.

  • Develop future leaders within the sales, service, and operations teams.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and professional workplace culture.
  • Address performance issues promptly and fairly.
