Good first job for customer service experience, but lacks advancement opportunities
Fort St. John - Sales Associate (Current Employee) – Fort St. John, BC – 24 March 2018
A typical day at work would include processing/sorting new stock, merchandising the stock on the sales floor, assisting customers with furniture and other general questions. You could also be in the fitting room, or at the front line as a cashier. In general, it was a very good job, they really stressed working as a team and always striving for improvement. However, they had very strict time standards which were usually unattainable and can be stressful and/or unmotivating. Your experience working at Winners could be entirely different depending on the management. Hours were unreliable, sometimes you would have 12 hours a week up to 35 and if sales goals are not hit, they cut hours back.
Good breaks, fun atmosphere, gives good experience
Low salary, little opportunity for advancement, unreliable hours
