Professional consulting service
Programmer/Analyst (Former Employee) – Raleigh, NC – 19 February 2015
Because this is a contracting agency, I had relatively little contact with people in the agency. Primarily, I dealt with the customer's personnel. The work hours tend to be regular and reasonable because of the customer's budget constraints. A day at work is filled with things to do, but there is generally a calm approach to the work. Productivity is high. I had the opportunity to learn about the business and the software tools needed for the work. My co-workers were all employees of the customer. Generally, that worked out well, although there were a few instances in which I was not treated as a professional. The hardest part of the job was working with a few people who did not do their jobs adequately. The most enjoyable part of the job was being able to work from home much of the time because of the proximity of my home to the office.
Good pay, organized approach to evaluation, pleasant management
No benefits. Potential loss of job due to external forces.
