Typical day included calling previous customers and trying to get them to purchase new security system service again.
I learned that it is a numbers game. To prospect with consistency and positivity.
Management was good. Often too busy for enough training for each sales rep. Often set unreachable goals for their teams.
Culture was friendly and fun and energetic. Team-oriented.
Hardest part of the job was generating my own leads after the company took away most of the leads. Had to self-generate my own leads instead of running the leads previously given by the company. Too time consuming. Also the compensation plan was changed for the worse 3 times. Made it harder to earn good money. Also lots of driving.
Most enjoyable part was providing security service for appreciative customers and being around the great employees who helped eachother when management was too busy.
Free lunches sometimes.
Too much driving, Sometimes deals sold were cancelled unfairly.
