I loved the overall concept of Blo, come in get your hair blown out or a quick up-do for a gala and then be on your way. However, being a stylist in such a demanding environment was very taxing on my hands, wrists and back. Working in a normal salon is different in the sense that you're not doing blow dry after blow dry for 8 straight hours with hardly 15 minutes to take a break before your next client. My managers were wonderful and all of our clients were repeat clients sometimes 2x or more a week, so the talent was definitely there. I loved going to fashion shows to style hair, and we even had some shows film in our salon which was also very cool. If your hands are very strong and can support a very demanding position as a "blo-babe" then this job is for you. But do consider, you might have mornings you wake up and cannot move your hands at all from the prior days work.
