The job is mainly offering customer service on the phone, sending agents on the field to respond to emergencies, alarms or provide escort to the client during the night hours, revising reports, classify them.
Dispatching agents with the alarm systems we have in place or sometimes emergencies: i.e medical emergency, chemical leak, car accidents, aggressive individuals and work with the police, ambulance or fire department.
By being a dispatcher I learned a lot about physical security systems such as lenel, genetec, I learned about how to manage teams on the field and sending them to calls by priorities. I also learned about keeping my cool during certain situations where lives are at stake
Sometimes the shift will be very quiet and nothing will happen and other times phone calls will be coming in non-stop with alarms appearing continuously in the screen.
