Colleagues that become friends
CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE (Former Employee) – Kitchener, ON – 23 January 2019
Rogers expects not only fast and efficient work, but also a strong knowledge of internal systems, exceptional sales, and a pro-Rogers attitude at all times.
The team managers there are amazing and work much longer hours than required. Senior management and above are not as approachable. There is a definite favourtism that happens when it comes to advancement, and it is often those willing to work the worse shifts that get chosen for promotions over those who are more qualified for the job.
The people who work there really are the glue. My peers are amazing, hard working, helpful and entertaining. We still worked within the FISH philosophy even when management forgot about it.
The benefits are great - stock options, pensions, etc. The pay was pretty good. But the hours for most people were the worst. Colleagues having worked there for over 10 years would have to work 1-9 or work weekends to get an earlier shift. They espoused a work/life balance but did not strive to meet it.
