Good place to start; not so great long-term
Assistant Manager (Current Employee) – Ottawa, ON – 12 February 2018
It's a great place to learn multi-tasking and task prioritization as it can be a very fast-paced environment depending on where the store is located. You can build a rapport with certain customers, learn to deal with difficult customers in a professional manner, and how to make customers smile!
However, if your manager isn't planning on leaving their position anytime soon, then you're pretty much stuck at the cashier/sandwich artist level, which means you're not getting a raise anytime soon. But hey. at least you get a discount on the food!
Hardest part of the job is dealing with tough customers who seem to really be trying to get you to break your composure. If you work there long enough though, you'll definitely learn how to give customers the right answers.
The best part is getting to try the new sandwiches at a discount. The cookies are pretty good too!
Healthy food for cheap, Great way to earn customer service experience
Virtually no advancement, Requires a great deal of patience
