Reviews about Pay & Benefits for Account Executive at UPS
Account Executive (Current Employee) – Colorado – 9 November 2017
As the Account Manager you will manage a 8 million dollar territory. You must grow your business by maintaining accounts and winning conversion accounts.
Pros: January - November work life balance is great. December it is horrible (see in cons). Create your own schedule is a huge plus and the reason why people stay.
Great benefits including stock option
Cons: Old school culture if upper management doesn't retire their old ways then UPS will eventually become the next Blockbuster. UPS is very stubborn in the way they do things. They haven't changed anything in many years.
Pay structure is horrible for a true sales professional. If you like to maintain accounts and focus on service work you will love this position. If you like to hunt for new business this is not for you. The bonus structure isn't a % commission structure. While UPS is moving more towards a 'sales culture' overall UPS is still a operation based company. NOT a sales based company.
December is a nightmare! UPS will force you as a sales rep to leave your family for weeks within moments notice and "help" out operations this includes traveling across the county in some cases. You will be forced to work 13 hour days in some random hub for weeks on in while you wait for the call to come back home. No days off during this time either.
Account Executive/Sales (Current Employee) – Chicago, IL – 7 October 2017
Overall a good place to work. Competitive benefits but they lack on competitive compensation. Strong company culture, but they lack the things that attract and retain younger employees. Management invests a lot in employee development and sales training.
