Overview
We are seeking an experienced Dental Receptionist to join our wonderful team in a lovely dental office environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks. This role requires proficiency in handling phone systems, managing electronic medical records, and familiarity with dental software such as PowerPractice and Dentrix. Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations efficiently.
  • Answer phone calls promptly, schedule appointments, and handle inquiries.
  • Maintain patient records accurately using electronic medical records systems.
  • Process patient information and verify insurance details.
  • Assist in managing office supplies and ensuring a clean, organized reception area.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow and communication.
  • Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a dental or medical office is preferred.

  • Familiarity with dental software applications such as PowerPractice and Dentrix is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of terminology related to dentistry.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
