Electrician Team Lead - Monday to Thursday shift

Role Description

We are hiring Electrician Team Lead (Journeyman) - Monday to Thursday Shift to lead Journeymen and Apprentices on multiple projects inside our production facility. This role leads the shift and reports to the Electrical Supervisor.

Duties:

• This role is hands on production role that provides leadership to crew of 20+ electricians.
• Provide supervision and planning in the successful completion of projects. Oversee the method of construction, manpower, equipment, and material needed to achieve quality and delivery objectives
• Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts
• Cut, thread, bend, assemble and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fittings
• Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and roofs
• Position, maintain and install distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breaker panels and fuse enclosures
• Install, replace, maintain, and repair electrical systems and related electrical equipment
• Install data cabling
• Splice, join and connect wire to form circuits
• Test circuits to ensure integrity and safety
• Install and maintain fibre optic systems
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient installation

Required Experience:

• 5+ years supervisory role
• Journeyman Electrician & 10+ year construction experience
• Ongoing supervisory and/or trade training
• Proven excellence in trade
• Microsoft Office capable
• Strong leadership, effective communication skills, conflict resolution and the ability to have critical conversations

Location:

This role is plant based at our 200,000 square feet manufacturing facility 20 minutes North of Calgary in Crossfield, Alberta, strategically located near a High Load Corridor which allows us to transport loads up to 9 meters high to many parts of Alberta, Saskatchewan, BC, and the United States. Our employees live in Calgary, Airdrie and surrounding communities.
