Shipping & Receiving Team Lead

Summary

The Shipping/Receiving Team Lead supports the day-to-day execution of inbound and outbound warehouse operations while providing on-floor leadership to the team. This role ensures shipments are handled accurately, efficiently, and in line with company standards, while helping coordinate workflow and support team performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform core shipping and receiving duties as required, including picking, receiving, loading, and product handling
• Conduct general quality control checks during unloading and receiving to ensure product meets company standards
• Support and coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities, including inbound and outbound freight
• Ensure accuracy of shipments, including product, quantities, and documentation
• Assign and adjust daily tasks to support workflow and operational priorities
• Provide on-floor leadership, working alongside the team to maintain productivity and accountability
• Support training and onboarding of team members
• Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and company procedures
• Report safety concerns, equipment issues, and operational challenges
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse and dock areas
• Support inventory accuracy through proper receiving, tracking, and documentation
• Assist with resolving discrepancies in shipments, inventory, or pallet tracking
• Collaborate with other departments to support order fulfillment

Experience & Qualifications

• Experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations
• Previous leadership or team lead experience is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable with warehouse systems and documentation processes

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
