Warehouse Shipper/Receiver

Thomas Fresh is looking for a Shipper/Receiver to join our team. This role is responsible for checking and recording inbound and outbound freight for the facility. The Shipper/Receiver physically loads and unloads trucks and containers. They are responsible for ensuring accuracy of shipments meaning the correct item and quantity have been shipped/received and that the proper documentation has been completed. The Shipper/Receiver team members are positive, hardworking, detail oriented and strong team players. On occasion, it will be necessary to help another department by working in the Production or Repack team to ensure order fulfillment.

Responsibilities:

Report safety issues, damaged and/or broken equipment to the Department Manager

Work as a team to promote a healthy work atmosphere by being positive, enthusiastic and working to the best of his/her ability.

Abide by all policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook including but not limited to being punctual

Following direction from the Department Manager, working as part of the team to produce quality and accurate product including but not limited to:

• Picking and staging orders
• Performing Quality Control Reports
• Receiving orders

- Ensuring completion of necessary documentation

• Loading outbound loads

- Ensuring completion of necessary documentation

- Setting template as required

• Slotting received product in coolers as instructed
• Grading or stickering product
• Assisting in grading/packing projects
• Unloading/palletizing product from shipping containers
• Removing and sorting garbage/recycling etc. from the warehouse
• Cleaning (including deep cleaning) in/around the warehouse, dock or work area and yard

Pay: $17.50-$22.00 per hour
