Full job description

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Junior Network Administrator to support our manufacturing facility’s IT and network operations. In this role, you will help maintain the systems that keep our production environment running smoothly.

This is a hands-on, entry-level position where you’ll work closely with senior IT staff to support both office and plant-floor systems, including network infrastructure, user support, and basic industrial connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining and monitoring plant network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi)
  • Provide first-level IT support for office staff and production floor users
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues affecting production systems, workstations, and handheld devices
  • Support user account setup and access (Active Directory, shared systems, shop-floor terminals)
  • Help maintain reliable network connectivity for manufacturing equipment and systems (e.g., MES, scanners, printers)
  • Participate in system updates, patching, and scheduled maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Document network layouts, devices, and support procedures
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or external vendors
  • Follow company IT and cybersecurity policies, especially those impacting production uptime

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Networking, or related field
  • Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switching concepts)
  • Familiarity with Windows environments and user support
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing/industrial environment

Pay: $48,000.00 per year
