Legacy Co-op is hiring a Full – Time Assistant Petroleum Manager to lead and support the Team within the Petroleum division in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Petroleum Manager, the Assistant Petroleum Manager is responsible for supporting overall heavy duty fleet operation including expense evaluation, inventory and branch location management.

  • You will be responsible for ensuring corporate performance targets and budgeted results of bulk petroleum and lubricant sales are achieved as directed by the Petroleum Manager.
  • You will build and maintain a customer contact program with an emphasis on facilitating member relations and the acquisition of related sales which include, but not limited to, bulk fuel, and lubricant volume for Legacy Co-op.
  • You will oversee and update customer delivery locations, delivery schedules and customer orders of petroleum and lubricant products to maintain delivery route efficiency.
  • You will oversee the completion and follow through of all safety and environmental policies and procedures while maintaining a “culture of safety”.
  • You will provide leadership and support regarding performance management responsibilities to team leaders and team members as directed by the Petroleum Manager.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Petroleum and:

  • Must have Grade 12
  • Must maintain Class 3 Driver’s licence throughout employment.
  • Must have experience in bulk delivery fleet operations with relevant knowledge on petroleum product offerings and lubricants.
  • Experience in petroleum sales is considered an asset.
  • Have the confidence of a sales orientated individual with the ability to communicate effectively to our membership base and team alike through various platforms.
  • Possess business acumen skills with an ability to control operational costs, maximize operational efficiency and improve sales and growth margin.
  • Flexible to work various hours and on-call as required.
  • You are experienced in computer skills with an intermediate understanding of MS Office Suite
  • You have experience in developing partnerships with internal and external customers on complex issues and transactions.
  • You have an interest in coaching and providing feedback to other team members
  • Maintain good physical condition, physically able to do heavy lifting of 50 lbs, climb ladders and kneel
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability and deal with people tactfully and professionally at all times.
  • You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do
