GTA Transmission Repair, a trusted name in North York,is hiring an experienced Automotive Transmission Rebuilder/Swing Man with a strong background in assembling and repairing vehicle transmission systems. This role demands expertise in mechanical systems, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities:

• Rebuild transmissions and transfer cases with precision.
• Perform assembly and disassembly of transmissions according to specifications and standards.
• Remove and reinstall transmissions— all makes and models.
• Inspect and identify transmission components for wear, damage, or other issues.
• Rear differentials and clutch installation skills are a huge plus.
• Replace or repair faulty components as needed.
• Ensure all transmissions meet quality standards.
• Stay updated on new transmission technologies and repair techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of verifiable on-the-job experience in rebuilding transmissions.
• In-depth knowledge of transmission components and their functions.
• Physical ability to lift heavy parts and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Must have your own tools.
• Valid driver's license.
• Transmission certificate of qualification will be considered an asset.
• Fluent in English (both spoken and written).
• Proficiency in Portuguese or Spanish will be considered as a strong asset.

GTA Transmission Repair

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $31.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Additional pay:

• Overtime pay
