We are eagerly seeking a dedicated Technical Sales Manager to join our team! If you are fascinated by the sales process and have a passion for exploring new and untapped business opportunities and relationships, read on! In this role, you will showcase our brand and position our service and product offerings as the best event solutions to achieve our client's view of success. You will drive sales and partnerships with the ultimate goal of acquiring new strategic customers to build momentum in new and existing target markets with a primary focus on the Lower Mainland.

We provide our expert services to the nation’s most exciting events ranging from concerts, sporting, government, festivals, trade shows, and galas, to conferences and equipment rentals. We deliver events far and wide across Canada and the USA and the Technical Sales Manager is a key member in driving our business to help us continue to deliver epic events to our customers.

What you will have the opportunity to do :

  • Actively seek out new business opportunities and develop growth strategies and plans that will allow us to expand our services to new markets and clients and drive increased revenue and profit
  • Know the market well to identify, qualify, engage and convert prospects into confirmed business
  • Responsible for lead follow up, prospecting, pipeline hygiene, opportunity development, and effective sales cycles through close in order to meet established revenue targets
  • Manage select client accounts from initial sale through to delivery and final execution of event
  • Provide technical design input and develop creative event solutions and assess feasibility of event with relevant team members
  • Build and prepare proposals, presentations, and quotes, handle negotiations and bring in SW team members to the process where needed
  • Attend site visits and pre and post show meetings to support the client experience
  • Understand the customer's business, needs, and goals and effectively educate them on how we can serve and meet their event goals
  • Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers and meet regularly with management and stakeholders to discuss strategy
  • Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, and events
  • Record sales activity, leads, and contacts in applicable internal systems and prepare sales forecasts
  • Other duties as required

To be successful in this role you have:

  • 3+ years of experience in audio visual sales/event sales
  • Successful track record in B2B sales and negotiation
  • Have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas
  • A demonstrated ability to identify and develop new opportunities and go after them
  • A demonstrated ability to deliver presentations

Bonus points if you:

  • Bachelor's Degree with Business / Marketing/Communications major preferred
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g SalesForce)
  • Bilingual in English and French
