Position Title: Shuttle Bus Driver – Full Time Seasonal, June through September

Reports To: General Manager

Position Overview: The ‘Rapid Transit’ Shuttle Bus Driver will transport guests between our satellite ticketing location at the Floral Clock and our dock in Queenston. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a professional demeanour, and the appropriate license to drive a 16-passenger shuttle bus. The role also requires the daily pickup and drop-off of the shuttle bus in Virgil at the beginning and end of each shift.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport guests between the satellite ticketing location (Floral Clock) and the dock in Queenston, ensuring timely and efficient service.
• Follow a strict operational time schedule to ensure all pickups and drop-offs are conducted on time.
• Provide a warm and friendly welcome to guests, answering questions and offering assistance to enhance their overall experience.
• Pick up the shuttle bus from the designated location in Virgil at the start of the shift and return it at the end of the day.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the shuttle bus to ensure it is in safe working condition.
• Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly to the General Manager.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while operating the shuttle bus.
• Ensure the safety of all passengers by following proper boarding and seating protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior to provide a professional and welcoming environment for guests on a daily basis.
• Assist with loading and unloading of passengers as needed.
• Support additional transportation needs or duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Ideal Candidate would have or acquire:

• Valid driver’s license with the appropriate class to operate a 16-passenger shuttle bus.
• Clean driving record with a demonstrated history of safe vehicle operation.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to adhere to schedules and maintain a professional demeanour under pressure.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
