We are looking for a talented Senior Staff Accountant with a minimum of three years' recent public practice experience to join our vibrant Oakville practice. This role is perfect for entrepreneurial superheroes eager to pursue a rewarding career in Public Accounting and make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply accounting concepts to a variety of client situations with precision and creativity
  • Prepare complex compilation (Notice to Reader) files
  • Prepare personal (T1), trust (T3), and corporate (T2) income tax returns
  • Provide comprehensive client accounting services
  • Embrace technology to enhance learning, share knowledge, and improve service delivery
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Education and Professional Skills Requirements:

  • University degree with an excellent GPA
  • Successful completion of the CFE at a minimum
  • 2-4 years of Canadian public accounting experience with private corporations in review engagements and NTR files
  • Proficiency in researching issues and proposing recommendations under applicable standards
  • Expertise in preparing complex T1, T2, and T3 tax returns
  • Strong technical knowledge of ASPE and tax compliance/planning
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, CaseWare, and Taxprep
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Exceptional English communication skills (both verbal and written); proficiency in a second language is an asset
  • Self-starter with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Commitment to providing outstanding client service
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, team members, and the community
