Robotic Weld Operator

Accumetal Manufacturing Inc.- Stratford, ON

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time, Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Salary: Starting at $20 per hour

We are seeking passionate, driven, and hardworking Robotic Weld Operators of every skill and experience level. Whether you are looking to start a career in Robotic Welding or have several years of experience we have a position for you!

As a Robotic Weld Operator at Accumetal Manufacturing, you will operate a robot welding machine to weld parts in a metal fabrication shop, conforming to all job specifications. If you are interested in developing your skills, we offer apprenticeships and in-house training programs so you can continuously improve your skills and abilities. With a positive attitude, teamwork skills, and a strong work ethic you can help contribute to the further success of our company!

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret technical diagrams to understand the required weld.
  • Acquire and attach the appropriate jig to the machine.
  • Enter information into the control panel to run the required program.
  • Use grinders and sanders as required for finishing to create product free of burrs.
  • Evaluate final product for conformance with drawing and specifications.
  • Repair welds as required.
  • Operate crane to move jigs as required.
  • Accurately track and document job status in Job Boss software and on Work Traveler.
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with Quality (ISO) manual.
  • Contribute to the overall cleanliness of the production floor and assist others as required.
  • Conform to all health and safety standards and utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Completion of Grade 12
  • Basic ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Knowledge and experience in basic MIG welding
  • Must successfully complete Crane training
  • Must pass security clearance screening under Controlled Goods Program of the Defense Production Act.
