RideWrap is a fast-growing company in the bike industry and we are seeking a go-getter to join our team in Retail Business Development. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the outdoors, a deep understanding of the bike community, and a talent to build and execute a business strategy from the ground up in multiple environments...and loves to travel.

The Opportunity

The role’s primary responsibility is to achieve company success via the growth and expansion of retail operations around the globe, opening up new stores in strategically targeted markets to increase brand awareness and overall sales volumes in each area, and ensuring ongoing business performance across all locations.

RideWrap’s proprietary systems are born from combining a background in precision engineering with a love for riding bikes. We produce industry-leading frame protection components for all bikes and riders.

About You

  • Set up new stores in key locations to drive brand awareness and overall sales
  • Ensure ongoing success and optimization of all Retail locations
  • Create community connections with local bike brands in the area
  • Develop and execute the company vision and strategy of growing sales through the opening of new retail locations
  • Manage and enhance existing marketing positioning through brand awareness in target markets
  • Identify future market opportunities, and road map timelines for optimal outcomes for new store geo locations
  • Lead new store openings from concept right through to opening
  • Market administrative research for new geo-locations, negotiate local contracts, understand local/regional/federal legislations involved with each new area
  • Oversee the hiring/training of new employees
  • Enact early community and local marketing strategies to kick start each new location
  • Be present in the early days of each new location to troubleshoot, optimize, and achieve a smoothly operating business before handing over to identified and employed retail shop manager
  • Provide continued analysis and optimization of current and future retail store operations
  • Monitor progress and track store KPIs, analyze and optimize underperforming locations. Create the retail optimization feedback loop.
  • Build out, maintain, and improve a blueprint for new store opening procedures

Qualifications, Experiences, and Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills, collaborate effectively with all departments, stakeholders, leaders, and team members
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Attentional to detail, and strong strategic planning, marketing, and execution skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving, sales, and negotiation skills
  • Experience in driving revenue, profitability, and optimizing processes and operations
  • This role will require significant time on the road (~50% +), and being physically present during the early days of each stores opening before continuing to the next location
  • Experience opening new businesses an asset
  • Experience managing and directing a team across multiple locations/countries an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
