- Experience in working with oral/dental pathogens and/or pathogens related to bone infection (Osteomyelitis) is highly desirable.
- Extensive experience with confocal microscopy, basic microbiological culturing techniques, SEM, with experience in molecular biology techniques and material synthesis and analysis techniques highly desirable.
- Knowledge of quality management systems, GLP, and/or ISO 13485.
- Extensive experience working in a research laboratory environment, designing studies, preparing samples, carrying out experiments and analyzing results utilizing statistical methods.
- Experience or strong interest in a start-up environment and knowledge of the unique challenges that new companies face.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
- There is also an opportunity for qualified candidates to join us as an industrial postdoc.
Work Environment
We are a very small team, and every new member will have a huge opportunity to affect how we grow as a company and what we do with our technology. The working environment is open and friendly, and employees are expected to rise to challenges while thinking critically about technical problems and working together as a team to solve issues. Regardless of educational or technical background, we expect everyone to apply their experience to build our company from the ground-up. Mesosil is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment.
We operate on a hybrid work-from-home and in-person format. Desk and computer work required for this position may be performed from home, while regular in-person work and team collaboration in downtown Toronto at the University of Toronto and occasionally in Mississauga at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM campus) is required.
