Job Overview
We are a national specialty AV distributor experiencing growth and seeking an accomplished Professional AV Regional Sales Manager to join our team. Based in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia and reporting to the Vice President of Sales, this role involves promoting our product portfolio, managing accounts within the territory, and cultivating new client relationships. Responsibilities

Sales Development

  • Identify and pursue AV sales opportunities within the AV integration, rental and staging, and live entertainment markets.

Client Engagement

  • Dedicate 80% of your time to meeting with resellers and end-users in person, fostering relationships, and uncovering new business opportunities.
  • Strategically identify priority accounts to drive growth.

Account Management

  • Retain and grow business with existing clients by building and maintaining effective working relationships with resellers.

Market Insight

  • Leverage your understanding of industry trends, market demands, and client requirements to align sales strategies with organizational goals.

Collaboration

  • Partner with internal teams and vendors to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs, ensuring successful proposals and business relationships.

Event Participation

  • Identify and participate in trade shows at local, national, and international levels as required.

Sales Tools

  • Regularly utilize CRM tools to record customer information and activity updates.
  • Maintain an active pipeline to track and report on sales opportunities, including wins, losses, and ongoing prospects.

Meetings and Training

  • Actively participate in weekly sales meetings and attend manufacturer training sessions as needed.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary AV collaboration and presentation technologies.
  • Experience with live audio and lighting products.

  • Exceptional ability to build and nurture strong professional relationships.

Prospecting and Presentation

  • Adept at prospecting and cold calling.
  • Confident in delivering engaging and informative presentations.

Self-Motivation and Organization

  • Highly organized, self-driven, and capable of working independently or collaboratively.

Attention to Detail

  • Strong focus on precision and accuracy.

Communication

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Social Media Proficiency

  • Effective LinkedIn presence with the ability to craft and share content that highlights our products and services.

Customer Engagement

  • Skilled at interacting with customers both over the phone and in the field.

Professional Characteristics

  • Genuine, confident, and trustworthy with a positive and professional demeanor.

Qualifications

  • Certification: Current CTS certification is required, or willingness to obtain it within the first six months.
  • Additional Training: Completion of the SynAudCon course is considered an asset.
  • Technical Knowledge: AV over IP certification, including Layer 3 network and QoS configuration setup expertise, is beneficial.
  • Experience: 5–7 years of sales representative experience within the AV or live event industry.
