Summary
The Regional Service Sales Manager is a dynamic sales leader responsible for driving sustainable growth in service sales and ensuring that we achieve the set percentage for contract renewals. Maintaining gross margins, profits, and support contract service sales in all assigned locations. Execution is a key skill required to meet the needs of the Customer and to provide the best Customer ‘sales’ experience in the industry. Having a passion to deliver results that exceed plans and constantly thinking of and creating new ideas for revenue growth is essential.
What You’ll Do – The Role (Responsibilities)
- Aim to grow contract sales by a determined percentage per year while maintaining historic gross margins.
- Cultivate professional, industry-leading Sales Representatives who embody TPL Core Values and “Our Customer Experience Promise.”
- Provide day-to-day management, coaching, and development of the Contract Service Sales team in your region.
- Identify, grow, and nurture key accounts that will significantly impact national sales, focusing on non-tendered accounts.
- Stay close to the Customer and suggest new ways to increase sales through new products and services.
- Ensure expiring agreements are identified, updated, and sent to customers for renewal in a timely manner (beginning at 90 days before contract expiry).
- Communicate current expiring agreements in your region to the Service Contract Sales Team.
- Work with Contract Sales Representatives and Service Management to determine plans of action to ensure renewals meet the current company targets.
- Execute the specific objectives of the Contract Sales Plan.
- Provide plans and strategies for “target market” penetration and Customer Participate in and oversee aggressive pursuit of all sales opportunities.
- Managing field and in-house sales functions in the region with the goal of exceeding sales revenue, gross margin and income targets.
- Prioritize the duties of the team to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Hold your team accountable for budgets, activities, and customer service while removing roadblocks to an efficient sales process.
- Utilize knowledge of market trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies to achieve sales goals.
- Conduct timely employee coaching discussions, recruiting, compensation planning, team-building events, disciplinary actions, employee development, safety training, and compliance.
- Implementation of all new products and services and train all Service Sales Representatives in your region.
- Work with Managers and VP to review all Service Sales Reps annual targets, identify areas of opportunity for growth and areas of underperformance. Provide direction on what assistance you require from the Management Team to achieve the required results.
- Ensure that all Bid Boards are being monitored and that bids are completed.
- Responsible for evaluating the proper support network required for all Service Sales Reps to complete bid-spec tenders. Making sure that they are all completed accurately and in parallel with the current sales strategy.
- Develop and create service agreement sales and marketing support material.
- Review and suggest trade shows that local branches should attend and/or participate in.
- Ensure all products and services offered by the Company are being fully marketed
- Assist credit and collections department with resolving Customer disputes and/or non-payment.
- Development and implementation of policies, procedures and best practices.
- Lead and organize meetings – these are to include a training/learning element
- Work with all locations to share best service sales practices and provide sales support to drive consistency and optimum success through Teams Meetings on monthly or quarterly calls.
- Monthly travel to all branches within territory
- Monthly / Quarterly meetings with Repair Reps and Service Managers to discuss areas of success or improvement utilizing Teams Meetings.
- Participate in Company sponsored training programs as provided.
- Harmoniously work with other departments to serve and support our customers.
- Actively participate in management meetings to align on strategic objectives.
What You Need (Requirements)
- 3+ years of relevant experience in sales management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with CRM systems is a plus.
- A self-starter who thrives both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong technical aptitude related to engines, control systems, networks, and regulatory codes.
- Ability to present a professional image while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
- Valid driver's license in good standing; reliable personal vehicle required for travel.
- Proactive approach in resolving customer complaints and disputes effectively.
- Excellent communication skills focused on preventing issues while prioritizing customer needs.
- Adherence to all Health and Safety policies and practices is essential.
- In the case of a power outage or declared State of Emergency by any level of Government, be available for work.
- Other tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time consistent with the growth and development of the organization and the position.
