About Us: Wide Natural Health Technologies is a Vancouver based Bio-Health company committed to improving the well-being of our customers by offering top-quality, science-based natural health products. Our team is dedicated to research, innovation, and delivering products that make a positive impact on people's lives. We are looking for a talented and experienced Production Associate to join our team. This position will help us produce our amazing collection of products.
Responsibilities: As a Production Associate, you will be an integral part of our Production Department. Your responsibilities will include:
- Transport raw materials, finished products and packaging materials
- Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines
- Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers
- Work Monday to Friday
- Clean and setup machines, accessories and rooms
- Be responsible for conducting pre-operational checks on equipment
- Monitor the machine during operation and perform in-process checks, making adjustments as necessary
- Perform troubleshooting during production
- Perform general maintenance of machinery including care of machine parts and tooling
- Maintain and operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform regular quality in process checks
- Disassemble, clean and re-assemble packaging equipment
- Inspect capsules and packaging for defects
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Additional education or certifications related to production or the natural health product industry could be beneficial.
- Experience in a production or manufacturing environment is usually preferred. Experience specifically in the natural health product industry would be a plus.
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulations.
- The ability to work well on repetitive tasks
- The ability to standing for extended periods
- Attention to detail
- Fast-paced environment
- Mechanical experience safely operating and setting up machines while using a diverse selection of hand tools
- The ability to demonstrate safely working in a physically demanding environment where lifting up to 50lbs is a common occurrence
- A cooperative, positive and willing attitude all while keeping good communication and behavior with co-workers and management
- A keen focus on the little things and an understanding of the importance of attention to detail. You understand that no one thing can be overlooked, and there is no such thing as sacrificing quality.
- The ability to work well on your own or co-operatively based off the needs of the business.
- Maintain and operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner
