Outside Sales Representative – Warehousing/Courier

Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Representative to join our team. This individual will be responsible for driving sales across our comprehensive range of services, including destruction, warehousing, order fulfillment, co-packing, kitting, transportation, and local courier services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base for all MWL services.
  • Identify and prospect new business opportunities within the warehousing, logistics, and destruction sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Conduct product and service presentations to potential clients, showcasing the benefits and value of MWL’s offerings.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and challenges.
  • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to the management team.
  • Represent MWL at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications & Essential Traits

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the warehousing, logistics, or destruction services industry.
  • Strong understanding of warehousing, logistics, order fulfillment, co-packing, and local courier services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Demonstrates resilience and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Considerations

Travel Requirements

The role necessitates frequent travel within the Maritimes and Canada. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are essential.

Physical Demands

The role can be physically demanding, requiring periods of standing, walking, and moving between different sites. Some physical aspects of the job including lifting and transporting materials when necessary.

Work Schedule

The position requires flexibility to work outside of the traditional office hours, including evenings, weekends. Ability to respond to urgent customer issues during operating hours is critical.
