Role Overview

As our Marketing & Sales Coordinator, you'll be instrumental in driving awareness, engagement, and client growth through strategic campaigns, events, and sales support. You’ll report directly to the Director of Sales and collaborate across departments to coordinate digital content, attend local networking events, and assist in crafting winning proposals and quotes. This role offers flexible hours, especially around event schedules.Key Responsibilities

  • Digital Marketing: Plan and schedule social media campaigns, write blog content, optimize content for SEO, and manage newsletter delivery via Mailchimp.
  • Content Creation & Branding: Use Canva and Adobe Creative Suite to create branded content that aligns with company voice across platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Advertising & Promotion: Assist in creating and running ads on platforms like Google Ads and Meta Business Suite to generate leads.
  • Event Coordination: Help organize and attend local networking and business events, representing Joe Apps to generate leads and strengthen our community presence.
  • Sales Enablement: Support quoting and proposal creation, track sales opportunities in the CRM, and help prepare materials that move prospects through the pipeline.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Monitor engagement, campaign performance, and lead generation efforts. Support strategic planning by reporting key performance indicators.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll play a key supporting role in helping the sales and marketing engine run smoothly, working closely with both internal teams and external prospects.

Sales Support (50%)

  • Research and identify potential business leads using online tools, databases, and social platforms.
  • Assist with outbound prospecting via email, phone, and social media outreach.
  • Schedule meetings for senior sales staff and ensure proper follow-up communications.
  • Maintain and update CRM with lead activity and contact details.
  • Help prepare sales materials, proposals, and presentations.
  • Track and report on sales activity and key performance indicators.

Marketing Support (50%)

  • Assist in creating and scheduling social media posts across LinkedIn, Facebook, and other platforms.
  • Coordinate email marketing campaigns and newsletters.
  • Support the creation of blog content, case studies, and basic graphic assets (using Canva or similar tools).
  • Help organize and promote webinars, lunch-and-learns, or client events.
  • Track marketing analytics and campaign results to inform strategy.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Qualified leads generated through marketing activities
  • Engagement rates across email, social, and ad platforms
  • Volume of proposals/quotes created and sent
  • Number of new client meetings booked
  • Event attendance and contribution to lead capture

Qualifications & Skills

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Familiarity with social platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram), SEO basics, and content scheduling
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp, Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, and Linktree
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and quoting tools (or a willingness to learn)
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Well-organized, adaptable, and collaborative
  • Passionate about technology, marketing, and community engagement
