This full-time, in-person position is based at our head office in Edmonton.

What you will do
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Growth, you'll support marketing and event initiatives across Silvacom and its sister companies. As a key growth marketing team member, your primary responsibilities will be to support the execution of marketing initiatives across all channels, lead our event attendance process to ensure seamless logistics and brand representation and plan, coordinate, and deliver in-house events from concept to completion.
The ideal candidate is well-organized with strong attention to detail and proficiency in event and vendor management, has excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure while resolving problems. Enthusiasm, passion for marketing and event management are essential, as well as a drive to deliver high-quality results.
- Work closely with the Marketing Lead to coordinate Silvacom’s customer reward campaigns and other marketing initiative.
- Regularly monitor and update websites to ensure the accuracy and consistency of brand identity, company information, and marketing initiatives.
- Coordinate and schedule newsletters and other email campaigns using marketing automation software.
- Alongside the Marketing Lead, work on marketing and communications projects that promote and recognize Silvacom's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
- Oversee the procurement and management of branded merchandise, including team apparel and other promotional items.
- Manage event attendance for Silvacom and sister companies from start to finish, including:
- o Maintaining a master event tracking sheet
- o Coordinating booth registrations and requirements (e.g., furniture, electricity, WIFI)
- o Packing and managing booth kits (booth materials, swag, prizes, AV equipment, etc.)
- o Leading event kick-off sessions
- Oversee the design and procurement of various marketing materials, working closely with our in-house design team to create business cards, roll-up banners, booth displays, marketing and sales collateral, and other trade show materials.
- Create social media posts to promote event attendance for both our brand and event attendees' social pages and ensure timely scheduled posting.
- Support pre-event marketing efforts by developing event landing pages, creating targeted lists for prospecting, and creating and sending outbound event promotion emails. Ensure follow-up with leads after events to maximize opportunities.
- Conduct post-event debriefs to evaluate success.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage in-house events like user events and workshops from start to finish, including venue selection, vendor management, logistics, event attendance schedules, invitations, promotions, and setup.
- Ensure consistency in branded materials by developing and maintaining up-to-date PowerPoint templates, email signatures, and other marketing collateral.
- Provide administrative support to the growth marketing and sales teams, including CRM management, data entry, and marketing-focused administrative tasks.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing and event management, preferably in a B2B setting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality in all tasks
- Work well under pressure meeting tight deadlines
- Proactive approach to identifying and solving problems
- Strong team player with excellent collaboration, multitasking and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with email marketing software (e.g. HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot) an asset
- Proficiency in SEO, including keyword research and implementation, an asset
- Adobe Creative Suite experience a plus (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.)
