We do this in part by funding research and knowledge translation initiatives in the new and growing field of Geroscience. Duties
Similar to all members of the CFN administrative team, the successful candidate may be asked to assist in any and all activities undertaken to achieve CFN's mission. On a day-to-day basis, they will have the following specific responsibilities:

- Assisting in the development of the GCTU website and collateral material to advertise the GCTUs.
2. Assist in the development of the Canadian Translational Geroscience Network (CTGN). CFN is a founding member of the newly established CTGN (www.geroscience.ca). The CTGN provides a national forum for continuing education on Geroscience, promotion of excellence of research in aging, development of Geroscience research methodology and the mentoring of the next generation of clinician scientists. This includes:
- Assisting with securing sponsorships for CFN’s public and private events, such as CFN’s Annual CTGN conference and periodic GCTU events.
- Maintaining and improving relationships with current CFN partners, collaborators and sponsors to identify and secure new avenues of funding and support.
- Identifying and contacting national and international companies and organizations (government and academic) to broaden the reach of CTGN and increase CTGN membership.
3. Develop and implement a strategy to secure outside funding and support for CFN’s research, knowledge translation, training and/or networking initiatives. This includes:
- Maintaining and improving relationships with current CFN funders, partners, collaborators and sponsors to identify and secure new avenues of funding and support.
- Identifying and contacting new companies and organizations to enter into partnerships, collaborations, sponsorships or other avenues of support.
