Advanced Composite Structures is a world leader in Rotor-Blade and Composite Structure repair technologies. We are currently looking to fill a full time Junior Design Engineer position in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Advanced Composite Structures will only consider candidates who reside in Manitoba, Canada for this position.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering
- Registered with EGM or eligibility for registration
- Minimum 1 years experience, Aerospace preferred
Preferred Experience:
- knowledge and prior working experience in authoring repair designs for TCCA/FAA approvals.
- prior working experience in repair engineering on composite structures or components.
- experience in configuration control and process documentation
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Develop engineering solutions for repairs & modifications of aircraft composite structures and Helicopter Rotor Blades,including conceptual design, 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, technical instructions, and engineering specifications.
- Perform multi-disciplinary analysis of components & systems,including, but not limited to, static stress, fatigue, dynamics, and aerodynamics.
- Coordinate engineering projects to obtain airworthiness certification of designs, including project management, testing programs, and preparation of required technical reports.
- Design cutting edge aerospace structural/mechanical installations, modifications, and repairs.
- Provide ongoing support of existing designs / products as well as new designs / products.
- Develop design documents for demonstrating airworthiness compliance to the appropriate aerospace regulations.
- Prepare engineering reports and data packages for design approval and certification.
- Liaise with TC, and FAA delegates for design approval.
- Specialist Engineering: Coordinate with management to ensure compliance with policies and procedures and efficiency in supporting company objectives.
- Engineering Project Execution: Manage engineering projects utilizing both internal and external resources ensuing engineering projects are planned and executed following prescribed and accepted project management and systems engineering practices and processes supporting successful project outcomes.
- Carry out other duties as assigned.
