Position Overview:
As an IT Support Intern, you’ll play a key role in providing technical assistance across the campus. This is a great opportunity for students pursuing careers in Information Technology, Help Desk Support, or System Administration to gain hands-on experience in a real-world academic settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support to students, staff, and faculty
- Assist with troubleshooting hardware and software issues on campus computers and laptops
- Help with the setup and maintenance of classroom technology and AV equipment
- Support user account creation and password resets
- Maintain logs of issues and solutions
- Assist with printer/network connectivity issues
- Provide support for online platforms like CampusLogin, Canvas and Microsoft 365
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff as required
- Ensure all support tasks follow Computek’s data privacy and security guidelines
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an IT, Computer Science or related diploma/degree program
- Basic knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365 and networking fundamentals
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
This is a coop work term- candidate will need to be affiliated with an institution that gives credit for the work term.
