Job Overview:
We are seeking two skilled and motivated Field Technicians to join our team. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting services to our clients. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Duties:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients in the field.
- Communicate professionally in English, follow Standard Operating Procedures, and promptly transmit job documentation.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware from various vendors.
- Resolving general IT issues related to jobs.
- Repair enterprise laser printers, swap parts and update firmware.
- Repair POS/Kiosk systems, swap parts and cables, and install operating systems.
- Follow detailed client/vendor instruction manuals to resolve issues.
- Conduct system upgrades and updates as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Manage client expectations and provide training and guidance to end-users as needed.
· The technician requires their own vehicle, with business insurance, and must have a driver's license.
· Must have prior PC/laptop/server/printer repair experience, minimum 12 months.
Skills:
- Strong technical skills with experience in software troubleshooting, hardware installation, and time management skills.
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, Outlook, Adobe PDF reader, and ticketing systems.
- Familiarity with Windows, Linux and MacOS operating systems.
- Familiarity of LAN and network connectivity troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Asset certifications: CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certifications, HP/Dell/Lenovo Certifications.
- Be able to pass a background check. Legally be allowed to work in Canada.
