The Job

We are looking for a bright, experienced, forward-thinking Interactive Producer to help deliver Megaphone's suite of interactive media products to stations and broadcasters around the world. Working directly with Megaphone’s clients, you will partner with our sales team, graphic designers and production engineers to support all aspects of the customer life-cycle. Your versatile, multi-talented skills will ensure the flawless deployment and long-term success of every partner you manage.

A typical day in the life of a Megaphone TV Interactive Producer will include:

  • Consulting with broadcast partners to determine needs and solutions
  • Training our partners’ production, operations, web and sales teams
  • Product advocacy and execution of customer success strategies
  • Air-time operations support
  • Brainstorming in-show ideas
  • Scheduling and managing production tasks
  • Motion-design and graphic-design direction
  • Acceptance testing and quality assurance
  • Product and feature discussions
  • Customer deployment and dashboard maintenance
  • Writing marketing/training materials (press releases, blog posts)
  • Lots of emails, meetings, and phone calls

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of broadcast journalism experience (preferably in a local/national newsroom)
  • Digital-news producing experience is an asset
  • Strong editorial judgment
  • Process-driven project management
  • Exceptional communication, writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ruthless, obsessive attention to detail and quality
  • Creative thinking, art direction
  • Adaptability, problem solving
  • Basic experience with web-development processes
  • Broad-based internet and computer savvy, from Mac and Windows proficiency to confidence with office software (such as Google Docs and Microsoft Excel) and basic familiarity with graphic-production tools (such as Adobe Photoshop)
  • Social Media experience
  • Control-room production experience an asset

Bonus Skills

  • Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred
  • Advertising or marketing-agency experience
  • Sales or account-management experience
  • Demonstrated abilities in video editing and graphics (Adobe Premiere and Photoshop)
  • UI/UX design
  • Past experience in the software industry


This is a work-from-home position. We strongly prefer candidates from the Greater Toronto Area.

Job Type: Full-time
