Backed by a fifth-generation family-owned company, Spicers is a leading distributor of commercial print and business papers, specialty products, graphic solutions, sign & display equipment and materials, and packaging and facility supplies and equipment.

We’re based in Vaughan, Ontario, with 19 regional locations that include custom manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Toronto and Winnipeg, as well as cash and carry locations, product showrooms and equipment demo sites.

We are currently looking for an Inside Sales Representative, located in Dartmouth, NS reporting to the to the Branch Manager, Sign Graphics.

Your Challenge:

Under the supervision of the Branch Manager, Sign Graphics, the duties and responsibilities of the Inside Sales Representative include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Receive customer orders and inquiries by telephone, fax or email and process orders in a professional and courteous manner;
  • Receive, process, adjust orders, and assist customers as required with the online GOSpicers site;
  • Provide the highest level of service to customers including product information, suggestions of product substitutions, or grouping product for pricing and advising customers on how to purchase more efficiently;
  • Receive customer complaints, research complaints and initiate corrective action to resolve problems;
  • Keep Sales Consultants apprised of activities concerning established customers and communicate information on new customers’ concerns.
  • Liaise with the Pricing Coordinator to ensure customer contracts are accurate and updated on a timely basis;
  • Tele-market with respect to lead/sales generation and development;
  • Identify opportunities for mill support and margin improvement;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications:

  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field considered an asset;
  • Experience in the professional sales industry;
  • An excellent understanding of the printing industry;
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written);
  • Proficient in using MS Office;
  • Excellent attention to details;
  • Self-directed and self-motivated;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities;
  • Ability to do cold calling on customers (outbound sales calls); and
  • Ability to interact with walk-in customers.
