Industrial Scaffolder, Full Time
MacKinnon & Olding, a Crosbie Member Company, has an immediate need for Scaffolders to join its team in Nova Scotia.
RESPONSIBILITIES: What you will do
- Erect, inspect, repair, dismantle, maintain and identify system, tube and clamp scaffolds
- Design scaffolds to site requirements and material specifications in accordance with company guidelines
- Monitor levels in scaffolding structures to ensure stability
- Ensure fall protection methods are available, adequate and maintained on scaffold assemblies
- Undertake discipline work scopes as required
- Adopt safe working practices and promote safety awareness
- Assess the type and location of scaffold required to follow the self-certification and inspection check
- Ensure that all scaffolds are built, inspected and dismantled in accordance with MacKinnon & Olding scaffold procedures
QUALIFICATIONS: Your background
- Nova Scotia Fall Protection
- Nova Scotia Confined Space Entry
- Workplace Hazardous Material Information Systems (WHMIS)2015
- Experience with erection of system, tube and clamp scaffolding
- All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and Canadian Government Security clearance
