About Accumetal Manufacturing Inc.

In 2002 Accumetal Manufacturing Inc. purchased the assets of a Stratford, Ontario company that had over 60 years of metal fabricating experience. Due to the quality of out precision metal forming and welding services, Accumetal Manufacturing quickly grew into a leading producer of fabricated components for the Off-Road Equipment Industry.

About the Position

Accumetal Manufacturing Inc. has a great opportunity for a hardworking motivated Industrial Painter. You can contribute to the further success of the company by performing safe work practices to ensure high quality products can be produced for our customers.

The successful candidate will prepare, and paint completed metal parts using airless, pot-gun or electro-static painting methods.

Previous experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate.

Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Thursday- 3:30pm to 2:00am

Your Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Painting surfaces according to job specifications; selecting and mixing appropriate paint components and methods
  • Operation of curing oven to dry parts
  • Ensure quality by achieving desired paint thickness and avoiding imperfections
  • Conduct inspection on own work, and Buddy Inspect others’ completed work
  • Input job status updates into JobBoss software
  • Monitor inventory of painting supplies and recommend ordering when required
  • Perform daily maintenance tasks such as cleaning hoses
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with Quality ISO manual
  • Conform to all health and safety standards and utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Contribute to the overall cleanliness of the production floor and assist others as required
  • All other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent

  • Ability to tolerate wearing a respirator frequently for extended periods
  • The ability to lift and carry parts weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Basic ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Ability to receive, interpret and act on directions in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ability to prioritize workload
  • Organizational skills
  • Time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic

Please note: You will be required to pass security clearance screening under the Controlled Goods Program of the Defense Production Act and complete Crane training.
