The Opportunity

There is no better place that demonstrates this passion than The Met Hotel, a charming 27 room Boutique Hotel located in New Westminster.

We are looking for a Guest Service Agent to work a variety of shifts. The ideal candidate will have a sincere passion for hospitality and upscale service.

What You’ll Do

  • Must have availability/flexibility to work a variety of shifts
  • Act as shift coverage when needed
  • Shifts will vary from morning shifts (7:30am to 3:30pm), afternoon shift start (3:30pm – 11:30pm) and Night Audit (11:30pm – 7:30am)
  • Providing courteous, professional and pleasant phone manners
  • Checking clients in and out, promptly, professionally with a welcoming manner
  • Answering internal and external phones and transferring to proper departments
  • Answering the reservation line and selling rooms
  • Handling guest complaints and concerns in an efficient and timely manner
  • Must follow procedures and policies implemented by the Hotel
  • Provide tourist information to Hotel guests
  • Performing general office duties
  • Responsible for cash float and processing proper form of payment
  • To balance all revenue departments, credit card receipts, verify cash intake and the accuracy of all hotel account
  • Follow all safety and security procedures to maintain the assets, team members and guests in a safe manner. Report all unsafe conditions immediately

What You Have

  • High School diploma
  • 1+ years experience or in a similar position with customer service emphasis
  • Must be able to communicate effectively (written & verbal) in English
  • Must be able to work well under pressure, self-motivated, dependable and reliable
  • Hospitality knowledge is an asset
