Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our faculty team as a Global Supply Chain Management Instructor. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about helping mature students develop the skills needed to successfully transition into entry-level positions in the field.

The purpose of the instructor is to lead and contribute to the academic success of students and to the success of the College in achieving its statement of purpose. Under general direction, the instructor is responsible for providing quality instruction and facilitating student learning according to the prescribed curriculum.

Job Duties:

  • Delivering instruction that meets module and program objectives as set out in the curriculum.
  • Promptly grade assignments and exams, providing progress updates to support student development.
  • Contribute to quality improvement processes to foster continuous growth and excellence.
  • Develop learning materials to enhance student understanding and support learning activities.
  • Uphold PIMT's professional standards and code of ethics, serving as a role model for students and colleagues alike.
  • Serve as a learning coach, providing intentional support for student growth and career aspirations.
  • Enhance our students' experience by supporting campus administrative functions and actively participating in programmed activities.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • A credential in adult education or progress from an accredited post-secondary institution, and/or teaching experience is preferred.
  • Degree or diploma from a recognized University or College in Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • A successful candidate should have at least one year of teaching experience in Supply Chain Management that aligns with the curriculum of Alberta's Ministry of Education.
  • Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) designation preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to consider and respond appropriately to the needs, feelings, and capabilities of students, to provide feedback and treat students equitably.
  • Relevant industry skills and knowledge relating to the area of instruction, including ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Interest in pedagogical and multi-modal education approaches an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, including presentation and group facilitation.
  • High standards of behavior, a professional attitude and commitment to quality service.
  • Ability to be a team player and a self starter.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
