This position is funded by the Government of Canada through the Canada Summer Jobs program. As such, certain requirements follow.

Description:

The Fundraising Campaign Organizer will work with the summer fundraising campaigns and events hosted annually by the Near North Palliative Care Network. This will be accomplished with supervision and training from the NNPCN Events Coordinator. By working in this space, the successful candidate will obtain qualifying work experience in a small, charitable environment. Those interested in corporate fundraising, sponsorships, grants, volunteer management, event planning, social media advertising, traditional advertising, and nonprofit budgeting will find plentiful opportunities for training and meaningful work in this position. Specialized job duties include:

- Receive and understanding all events and fundraising training, including for donor management systems, social media marketing, volunteer communication, newsletters, event planning, and event policies.

-Receive and understand all office training, including for office appliances, corporate communication, work schedules, office ethics, professionalism, Microsoft applications, cloud storage, phone systems, and emailing systems.

- Plan volunteer fundraising meetings and organize materials, catering, and communications.

- Work with the Event Coordinator to develop digital and traditional marketing campaigns for all summer fundraisers, including the Annual Live Butterfly Release.

- Meet with, email, and speak to sponsors forspecific fundraising events.

- Help develop posters and graphics for all events.

- Answer any incoming calls regarding summer events from the general public.

- Represent the NNPCN in public, including at Farmer's Markets, fundraising tables, and when performing any door-to-door business stops.

- Help organize any silent auction items and merchandise sales.

-Assist with the general labor of event-hosting, including setup and take downof tents, tables, supplies, food, and other items as needed.

- Maintain strict budget-keeping for event costs, profits, and agreements.

- Communicate with event collaborators and contractors .

Generalized duties include day-to-day office needs:

- Assisting the NNPCN team with phone calls and emails.

-Attending team meetings and reporting weekly to supervisors and the Executive Director.

- Attending office events and supporting staff with needed labor.

- Maintaining a neat workspace and following all work policies regarding health, ethics, and professionalism.

- Following all Covid 19 related procedures in case of an outbreak in the building

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
