Play On Pediatric Therapy is a multidisciplinary pediatric clinic in Barrhaven, Ottawa. The thriving local community has thousands of children who need our help. As such, we are growing, and are looking for amazing therapists who have a passion for working with and helping the pediatric population (from 0-18). We are currently looking to add to our team of talented and highly motivated junior and experienced therapists who will help us achieve our mission of supporting and empowering kids toward their pursuit of healthy movement and optimal function. Our space provides each therapist with plenty of opportunity to treat our special population well, and for you to become a thriving therapist. The 3000 sq. ft. clinic is filled with natural light, has 7 private assessment/treatment rooms, a spacious reception area, and a welcoming staff room. The most exciting part of our clinic is our 1000 sq. ft. ‘Super Special Fun Gym’ which has lots of equipment and tools for treating kids including: a climbing wall, swings, ropes, balls, mats, climbers, steps, toys, and more.

We are looking for an experienced physiotherapist in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario to join our team in a part time capacity. Our ideal candidate would have 3+ years of experience working independently with the pediatric population. This position has the opportunity to grow to a full-time one as your caseload builds.

Your Attributes:

• Registered to practice physiotherapy in Ontario and registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
• Maintain appropriate liability insurance
• Passionate about health, wellness and empowering others to succeed
• Able to perform clinical assessments and create and implement treatment plans including ongoing evaluation and documentation
• A team player, willing to work collaboratively, both internally with our clinic team and externally with other healthcare providers, insurers and referral sources
• Understand the roles and scopes of other clinicians within and outside the clinic to appropriately refer clients as needed to ensure the best care possible
• Possess strong leadership skills, communication skills, business acumen and professionalism
• Possess excellent time management, planning and organizational skills
• Hard-working, focused, self-motivated and accountable
• Minimum one evening or weekend shift
• Dedicated to professional development, focused on your career path and willing to make it a top priority
• Participate in regularly scheduled practitioner development meetings and staff meetings
• Prepare and run small group classes and presentations
• Preferably at least 3+ years of experience in physiotherapy for the pediatric population
• Preferably have experience in pediatrics (previous employment, placement experience or other) or have taken additional continuing education in pediatrics
• Provide content for informational purposes (ie: newsletters, social media, handouts, etc)
• Assist in community outreach programming
• Vulnerable Sector Check will be required upon hiring

Salary: $37.50-$55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28 – 37.5 per week
