ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT COORDINATOR
Niagara Soils Solutions Ltd. is dedicated to providing innovative and sustainable resolutions to environmental challenges. Our team of experts works on a wide range of projects with varying complexity catering to public and private clients within the Niagara Region. We are currently seeking a dynamic and organized Project Coordinator to join our team and support the successful delivery of our projects.
As a Project Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the planning, execution, and monitoring of environmental projects. You will work closely with project managers, clients, and team members to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Your organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively will be key to your success in this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist project managers in the planning and execution of projects.
- Coordinate project activities, resources, equipment, and information.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
- Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise.
- Liaise with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
- Ensure that clients’ needs are met as the project evolves.
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals.
- Use project management tools to monitor working hours, budget, plans, and expenditures.
- Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the environmental / engineering consulting industry.
- Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
- Detail-oriented with a problem-solving attitude.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance is a plus.
