The Position
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Donor Services Associate works as a member of our team and is responsible for maintaining our donor database and is passionate about ensuring that we create and update accurate records of the Foundation’s supporters, donors, patients, and community partners.
This position will also provides support to donors of the Cancer Care Foundation through processing of gifts, issuing charitable tax receipts and working closely with Development staff to ensure proper recording keeping of correspondence. The Donor Services Associate also provides office management for the Foundation; overseeing inventory stock, fulfilling merchandise orders and performing general office duties.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Office Administration, Business administration diploma or equivalent experience
- Proficient with office productivity tools (including MS Office Suite) and an aptitude for learning new software and systems
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in an office environment, service environment or retail environment
- Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks independently
- Strong data entry and/or typing skills with high attention to detail.
- Tact, diplomacy, and maturity in dealing with stakeholders, including cancer patients, donors, volunteers, colleagues, and the general public.
- Ability to work both independently, with minimal supervision required, and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience in Raiser’s Edge (Blackbaud) or other CRM database would be considered an asset.
