Dispatcher/Customer Service - Evening Shift

AYR Motor Express offers 24/7 service to our drivers and customers through our Central Operations based in Woodstock, NB. On the evening shift, the responsibilities of our team is a combination of dispatching trucks, following up with drivers, booking and rescheduling of appointments; load data entry; track and trace of movement of loads and trucks; ensure safe, efficient, on-time movement of all customer loads; handle inbound and out bound calls from customers and drivers providing customer service.

Main Duties

• Ensure all units are on schedule for delivery and pickup
• Mentor our drivers to ensure compliance and increase customer satisfaction by:
• ensuring that all drivers have confirmed proper trailer and load from the paperwork provided
• Ensure all applicable documentation is retained and processed
• Book and reschedule appointments
• Track/Trace shipments and provide information to customers
• Data entry - updating portals and systems

Schedule

• Monday to Friday 4pm-1230am
• Every 4th weekend - 8am-5pm

Education and Skills Requirements

• Experience in the transportation industry
• Truck dispatch experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Analytical skills and Detail oriented
• Proven ability to work in a fast pace environment
• Knowledge of Hours of Service requirements and legislation is an asset
