About us

New Stars Dance School was founded in 2019 as a local community-based dance school. We have developed a unique program for children ages 3-14, which includes ballet, ballroom, and rhythmic gymnastics to promote physical fitness and mental wellbeing.

We pride ourselves on encouraging students to try new skills as they begin a healthy and rewarding new hobby. Each of our programs includes an engaging mix of dance, body conditioning and personal development.

- Plan and conduct dance classes for students in a classroom setting
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Teach dance techniques, choreography, and routines
- Provide feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their skills
- Develop age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Coordinate and organize dance performances and recitals
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and upcoming events

- Previous experience teaching dance, preferably in an early childhood education setting
- Knowledge of various dance styles and techniques
- Ability to work with children of different ages and skill levels
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with children
- Ability to create a safe and supportive learning environment

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 10 per week

Salary: From $17.00 per hour
